Youth Activities

Daily Schedule

Students assemble every morning at 9.45 a.m in the quadrangle to begin the day’s activities with a prayer. It is followed by the announcements of students’ achievements. The morning assembly concludes with the national anthem. The students then adjourn to the classes which begin at 10.00 a.m. sharp. The college closes at 4.00 p.m.

Co-curricular activities
Students are active all around the year. A democratically elected students’ association organizes various activities under the able guidance of staff convener. The activities are carried out under the auspices of literary ,cultural, Science, Commerce, Sports and Drama Clubs. Students are encouraged to take part in prestigious inter-collegiate competitions .

The college students are also permitted to join the NCC unit of the MES College of Arts, Commerce and Science. One of the girl students of this college commanded the R.D. Parade in New Delhi in the year 1996.
Sports and physical education

Talented students are encouraged to participate in sports and games. Students participate in state and national level tournaments of cricket, basketball . Indoor games like carom , table-tennis, shuttle badminton and chess are also encouraged.

FACILITIES AND SCHEMES
Medical examination of students by experienced doctors is done on an annual basis Periodical visits are also made by doctors. The State Bank of Mysore has a branch in the premises which extends service to both staff and students. Students are permitted to use the facilities extended by MES Co-operative Society and MES College Canteen.

The Mysore Education Society is generous in recognizing meritorious students by instituting various endowment prizes. Students are awarded Prizes and scholarships selected on the basis of their academic excellence on annual basis. Facilities are also provided to conduct classes in Yoga and the Vedas.
